Divertimento
Divertimento, 2002 (acrylic, tempera and oil on canvas - 18" x 24")
This painting was created for the 2002 Starlight Children Foundation's "Bids for Kids" Auction. It symbolizes the Foundation's
dedication to 'diverting' the children's attention away from their illness to happier, brighter events. The primary colours
symbolize joy. The yellow figures - girls dancing - the red figures in the background - boys. The violins are the music -
the spirit of life. Nothing is incidental, the vision is acceptance and hope.

only in the surreal terms of its imagery but also conveyed the sense of a silenced will to communicate.
Renaissance
Renaissance is an outstanding work sold to a private collector in Vancouver. It has overtones reminiscient of

Thin Ice evokes cool, ethereal blues and whites giving the painting a frozen yet fluid quality.
3/4 Time was inspired by both Waltz and earlier Minuet time signatures and captures their propulsive force.

| Desolation sound |
'Desolation Sound', completed in 2008, is music manuscript sculpted onto a small wooden door that had been discarded. The
tree clings to the wood and reflects the Provincial Park of the same name in B.C., Canada that is of conservational interest
to the artist (29" X 13" X 2").
