The following painting was inspired by the 2003 Kelowna wild fires and depicts a swirling merry-go-round of a firestorm
with the four horsemen of the apocalypse riding straight out and at the viewer. It has been released as a limited signed and

The painting has a centrifugal quality with overtones of a surreal re-working of El Greco, hence its original title Holy
Toledo. However, the artist re-named the work as she felt it represented, more accurately, childhood memories of a favourite
book.
